Brittney Mallon

Brittney Mallon is an NJ-based illustrator and live event artist who focuses on children’s books, nature, and reportage. With a BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts, their work is deeply inspired by their upbringing on the Raritan Bay and a lifelong love for nature. Their practice is rooted in storytelling and observation; they use illustration as a way to slow down, look closely, and capture moments that often go unnoticed. For them, reportage is not only a form of documentation but also a way of being present, and they hope their work invites others to do the same.

At events, Brittney brings her practice to life in real time, offering live portrait drawing and documentation, including their Live Drawing Photo Booth, capturing guests in the moment with a one-of-a-kind keepsake. They regularly vend at art and design conventions and run a vintage coin-operated mystery sticker vending machine, making art accessible in local spaces. Brittney is a member of the NYC Urban Sketching Chapter and a demo artist for Winsor and Newton.
